Zesty Zestimate
Somewhere along the way, I must have signed myself up for Zillow alerts on the price of my house – a dubious decision. I have come to accept the large red numbers which the emails have always contained.
But even people who are suspicious of information can still enjoy that information, right? And Zillow does offer a lot of information. For example, my house is a “Walker’s Paradise” – who knew?
Curiously, the email I received today had no red number at all. In fact, the Zillow-estimated price of my house actually increased significantly. I went back and gathered up the old emails, so that I could put together a chart of the changing value of my home:

I am so mind-numbingly tired that I am reluctant to draw any conclusions at this point. However, I can’t help but hope that the part of my brain which longs to find patterns in meaningless data is correct in assuming that the next data point will also be “in the green.”
